for the upcoming game I wanted to make a small chart with what spells are available for Clerics / Oracles that make use of the Spell Focus’s increase to DC (Difficulty Class).

When I look at this, I think clerics are mostly buff/heal bots and you should use feats to improve how they use weapons. If you want to improve their casting, it’s probably to make them better summoner.

Well, half of the necro spells are inflict spells, which do exactly the same as if you attack. (unless you are undead. Then it’s one of the few ways to heal yourself.)

Btw, this post and your related post for Arcane spells are really impressive work.

Agreed; buffs (although Arcane shares this role), healing (which is necessary for party endurance), debuff removal and summons. The aoe poison immunity at lvl 3 is so powerful with stinking cloud and cloudkill that it justifies bringing a cleric for that spell alone. That said, I think arcane is head and shoulders the stronger school.
